Cedar
Feeding:
We generally just make sure she has food in her bowl. When she eats it up we tend to refill it. She generally doesn't eat much in the morning but eats after walks. If you need to get her to eat for some reason, sprinkle some of the small treats in there and she'll eat it up.
Commands:
- Wait instead of stay
- Come or heel
- A sharp tug and 'no pulling' if she is pulling on leash
- She comes pretty well and likes to stay close but will chase wildlife
Walking:
We give here 2 or 3 a day and they tend to lean towards either longer, biking or ball fetching to help tire her out. She has lots of energy. She is fine off leash and with other dogs. If she runs into a mean one she can outrun them!
Toys
She LOVES to fetch balls. She'll chase them for a long time. It's the best way to tire her out unless you're biking or there are other dogs to play with. We've included 2 and the ball thrower. She also likes tug of war and licking peanut butter (frozen lasts longer) out of the 2 toys that are made for that. She can be a little relentless bringing you toys in the evening if she wasn't walked enough so put them away if you don't want to play.
Digging:
She has a bad habit of digging in the back yard. Not a big deal for ours, the grass is already a mess, but if you leave her alone in yours for a while she might dig.
Other:
We let her on some couches and beds. She'll respond to a stern 'off' if you don't want her on something but she'll likely by up on something while left alone. Sorry, we like cuddles! She does like her dog bed.
